If only I could stay awake
While asleep,
I’d watch my dreams
Bounce off the walls and run
After sheep that put me to sleep.


If only the earth would turn
Slowly the other way round,
I’d meet my dreams at
The halfway point,
Riding on the backs
Of a thousand fireflies.
